Some of us dressed up for the unicorn theme - people brought in unicorn horns, tails, decorated pictures and had themed clothing - here we are:
We also had our friendship celebration. We read a couple of books about friendship and talked about what that means. After handing out our Valentine's Day cards we made sure to go up to each person who gave us a card and thanked them personally. Then, we enjoyed some treats while watching Blue Planet II.
Then we were able to go outside in the afternoon to set up our ice village. First, we had to release the ice from the containers by melting the sides of the ice with hot water. Then, we had to turn the container upside down. The ice blocks were placed beside each other and on top of each other. Here is the finished village:
We went back into class and sketched the village. In the upcoming weeks we will be observing what happens to our village and take notes in our science booklets.
Reminders:
1. Our special helper, Inaya, did not have the opportunity to share her special talent today because of all of the events, so she will be doing this next Tuesday.
