Today we harvested our sun circle garden. We divided up into groups and each group was in charge of a garden bed or being at a wash station. We harvested carrots, beets, and potatoes. After the vegetables were picked the people at our wash stations took care of scrubbing off all the dirt. Then, we all helped clean up the garden beds by pulling out the leftover plant material and weeds so that the beds are ready for winter.
After we finished harvesting we learned how to make green and yellow bean fries. We took the beans we harvested last week and roasted for 15 minutes them with parmesan cheese at 425F. Ezra and Shawn liked them so much they had three helpings!!
