- Today we went over story sentence starters and brainstormed a list of various starters for our Arctic stories. Most of us are finished our story maps and are practicing telling our stories and gathering feedback before starting to write our first drafts.
- Then, we learned about outriggers. Boats with outriggers can hold more cargo ("robots") because they help to balance the weight on the boat. They make the boat more stable and are often attached to racing canoes.
- We were given extra tools to build an outrigger onto our boat from yesterday: 2 popsicle sticks, 4 elastics, 4 straws, and 4 stir sticks
