- Social Studies: We worked on our "Here's What You Need to Know" page for the Paper-bag Collection of Arctic stuff.
- FAF: we went all around the field and playground to help in a "garbage pick-up" for the Green Team to sort through. We found many different things on the ground that should not have been there, such as:
- cigarettes
- A&W bags
- snack wrappers
- plastic containers
- tuna snack containers
- Pepsi bottle
- plastic seaweed containers
- popsicle sticks
- lollipop sticks
- candy wrappers
- plastic bags
- foam and soccer ball pieces
- dirty Kleenex and napkins
- glass and metal chunks
- coffee lids
- plastic straws
- Then we created our own Inuksuks using small, medium and larger sized rocks
Hard at work ... "I'm not sure what I am making but it was fun and kind of hard"
"this was hard to make!"

"It is a person and it has a medicine wheel around it!" "...and it was really hard to make becuase it kept on falling down!"

"Working hard on making Jimmy in the Yellow Forest"
"Finished work!" "We have a kayak rest, one that points to the Northern Lights, and one that is laying down - like a person, and one that is meant for someone who fell in the water"

2. A Letter with information about our in-school field trip has been sent home. Teacher's Pet Educational Services will be putting on interactive stations about Acadia. Students will have the opportunity to travel back in time to the heart of an Acadian village to learn about the daily life. Our class will have this in-school field trip Thursday, May 2 from 9am to 11am. It would be great to have around 3 parent volunteers for this event - if you have police clearance and are available to volunteer please let me know :)
