- Social Studies: We had a special visit from Ms. Boyer. She took a trip to Churchill Manitoba for her birthday to see the polar bears.
- They come to this area right near the Hudson's Bay in Winter to look for seals!
- There are polar bear jails for when the bears come into town and risk the safety of the people in the town - putting them in danger. The jails are good because then they do not have to shoot the bears.
- Polar bears have heads the size of their necks so they can hunt for seals under the ice and not get stuck.
- Polar bears have translucent fur
- Polar bears are awake in the winter then hibernate in the summer, which is opposite of regular bears.
- Tundra Buggies are used to travel around and not get attacked by the polar bear
- Gym: We had our dance showcase! It was a lot of fun to see how each group incorporated different step/stomp/clap patterns into their own routine! Here are the links to the videos:
