Assembly, Assembly, Assembly!

This morning we started with our usual journal routine to get our day started. After a very long weekend some of us had quite a bit to write about.  If we weren't quite able to finish today we will be working on them again tomorrow morning.

After recess we did some solo book time and then we did our first assembly practice of the day. We had a chance to start using the microphones so that our voices will carry across the whole gym. We were also working on remembering our places for our parts and the words to our songs.

This afternoon we did another assembly practice. This time we tried to do the whole show from start to finish without using our scripts. Most of us are doing really well with our lines and just need a little bit more practice to make sure we are speaking slowly and clearly so that the audience will be able to understand every word.

At the end of our practice Ms. Boyer told us to start thinking about what we are going to wear. Ms. Boyer doesn't want us to buy anything new but she does want us to think about an outfit that would match our part. If we are in the arctic we might think about wearing something that looks cozy, if we are in the acadian part we might think about something like jeans and a plaid shirt, and if we are in the prairie part we could try to look like a farmer.  Please remember our show will start at 11:00am on Thursday and all parents are invited to attend.

Please remember that tomorrow is the volunteer tea (what a busy week!). Ms. Stephure has asked that we wear our Dr. Coffin T-shirts if we have them.
