- For gym we played "Port to Starboard" and had some relay races such as leap frog
- We took our whole school photo outside on the playground - order forms for these photos are being sent home today
- We read Fiddles and Spoons and learned about the Acadians and the Expulsion (which is when the Acadians were forced out of their homes). We also learned about Acadian way of life, such as:
- clothing: linen dresses, aprons, wooden sabots
- jobs for men and women in the Acadian villages
- food: corn bread, chicken fricot, meat pie, apple tarts
- culture: wooden spoons, fiddles, foot-stomping, singing

2. School Group Photo form to be returned by June 5th
3. Treat Day is tomorrow
4. Over the next couple of weeks we will begin some boat building projects. Please send any supplies to school for use if available, such as:
- plastic bottles
- straws
- skewers
- cartons (i.e. 1L or 2L milk or juice cartons)
- corks
- packaging peanuts
- Popsicle sticks
