Highlights:
- We worked on our weekend journal entires and editing them for upper/lower-case letters, spelling, punctuation, and grade 2s added juicy words!
- For science we continued on our discussion about keels and boat construction.
- we learned that the keel will help stabilize the boat by acting as a counterbalance, lowering the center of gravity. It makes the boat more stable because water on either side of the keel creates resistance helping the boat to stay upright.
- For Math, the students who went to the portables worked on adding 2-digit numbers. The students who went to room 1 practiced their doubles facts by playing additions bingo. The students who stayed in room 2 learned about place-value addition for 2-digit numbers, and learned what "digits" mean.
- For gym we started our unit on kickball.
