Nose Hill Tomorrow!

This morning we had a special presentation about waste reduction. The presenters name was Ms. Chopra and she taught us some very interesting facts about garbage, recycling, and composting. Ask me what interesting things I learned from Ms. Chopra.

This afternoon we spent some time getting ready for our Nose Hill trip tomorrow.  We are going to be conducting a zoology field study. We will be looking for evidence of animals on Nose Hill. Today we brainstormed some possible types of evidence we might find on Nose Hill and some ways to record that evidence. Some of our ideas for evidence were: scat, tracks, burrows, dens, fur, feathers, markings on branches, and flattened grasses or snow.  We thought of writing, drawing, and taking pictures as ways of documenting our findings. We will be looking for all of these types of evidence tomorrow and recording our ideas by taking photos and writing.

In gym we did gymnastics. We went on the balance beams. There was a fat one, a medium one, and a very skinny one. We also used the ladder and the horse. We also used the ramp. At all the stations Ms. Boyer was watching for our "C" landings.

We are going to Nose Hill tomorrow! It is very important that everyone is dressed for the deep snow we are expecting to find. Warm boots, snowpants, waterproof mittens, toques, and coats will be needed. Please also bring a snack that can be tucked into your pocket so that we can leave our backpacks at school.
